KUMU. / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

Updated: September 29, 2026

Information stored on your device

Kumu. stores alarms, their names, your chosen sentences, preferences and task progress on your device to schedule wake-ups and restore unfinished tasks. Scheduling details are passed to the iOS alarm system.

The app language preference and dates of completed wake-up tasks are also stored on-device, for language selection and weekly progress, without being sent to the developer.

Camera and permissions

The camera is used only for the photo task after you grant permission. A camera frame is processed in device memory using Apple Vision. The app does not save or upload photos or access your photo library. It does not use the microphone. You can deny camera access and use the alternative math task. Alarm permission is required to schedule ringing; permissions can be changed in iPhone Settings.

Collection and sharing

The app does not send personal information, photos or usage data to the developer. It has no user accounts, advertising, tracking or third-party analytics. Apple handles purchases and downloads under its own policies; the app does not receive payment card details.

Retention and deletion

Local information is retained to operate the app. You can delete alarms in the app after completing an active wake-up. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes its local data; offloading alone does not. Device backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings and can be managed in backup settings.

Policy changes

Changes will be published on this page with a revised date. If a change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, that notice or consent will be provided or obtained before the relevant new processing begins. Merely continuing to browse is not consent to new optional tracking.

Who handles enquiries

The Kumu. website and support operate under the trade name TASHNAZ. Contact and privacy requests: support@kumu.fun. These sections supplement the on-device app policy and distinguish app processing from information you send to support.

Support and accessibility enquiries

When you email us, we receive your email address, the name displayed in your message, its contents and any attachments you choose to send. Providing this information is voluntary and not legally required. Without information needed to investigate or an address for a reply, we may be unable to handle the request. Information is used to respond, investigate issues, handle accessibility and privacy requests, and document their resolution, not to subscribe you to marketing. Please avoid sending task photos, payment details or unnecessary medical information.

Providers and processing outside Israel

Incoming email to support@kumu.fun is routed through Hostinger’s email service. The hosting provider may process IP addresses, access times and technical request data to deliver, operate and secure the website. Where this site is served through GitHub Pages, GitHub is the hosting provider. These providers may process information outside Israel. Information may also be disclosed when legally required. The website has no advertising-network integrations or data-selling tools. Hostinger privacy policy · GitHub privacy statement.

Enquiry retention

Correspondence is retained as needed to handle and document enquiries, taking account of legal obligations and dispute resolution. You may ask about retention or request deletion. Requests are assessed under applicable law and circumstances; this is not an unlimited right to deletion in every case.

Access and correction

Subject to the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, you may request access to personal information held about you and correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or outdated. You can also request deletion or raise privacy questions at support@kumu.fun. Reasonable identity verification may be needed to avoid disclosing information to someone else.

Cookies and browser storage

The website code does not set cookies, save preferences in localStorage or sessionStorage, or run pixels or analytics. Language selection uses links to separate pages. There is no tracking-consent button because the site code has no optional tracking tools. Hosting providers may process technical connection data as described above. Notice and consent requirements will be reassessed before adding measurement or advertising tools, and this policy and the implementation will be updated accordingly.

Browser privacy signals (Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control)

The website code does not track your activity across other websites, contain advertising or analytics integrations, or implement a separate response to Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Its behaviour is the same whether these signals are enabled or disabled. There is no sale or sharing for targeted advertising through the website code for these signals to stop. This does not prevent the hosting provider from processing technical connection data described above. External websites you choose to visit have their own practices.

Requests from outside Israel

You may also contact support@kumu.fun about information in support correspondence if you live outside Israel, including in the United States. Depending on your location and whether the relevant law applies, rights may include access, correction, deletion or receiving a copy of your information. Please describe your request and identify the correspondence concerned; do not send identity documents unless a secure and necessary verification process has been agreed. Any rights, response deadlines and appeal procedures required by applicable law remain available. The app’s on-device data is managed on your device as explained above.

Children and support requests

Kumu. is a general-purpose alarm app and is not specifically directed to children under 13. An App Store age rating describes content suitability; it is not a request for children to send personal information. A parent or guardian should handle support requests for a child under 13 without sending the child’s name, photos, voice recordings or other unnecessary identifying information. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact support@kumu.fun so that the message can be reviewed and deletion requested. The camera task is processed locally as described above.
